Display to Organize: Design Ideas to Make Life Delightful (part ten)
We’re finally at the end of the series of ten posts that outlined a few design ideas I employ in my own life. Last but not least, I’d like to show you an organization system I’ve designed. It’s called “Tend-on” Group.
Indulge me for a second… And imagine an ideal environment as a sophisticated contraption. It is attending to all of your whims. Caring for your emotional and physical wellbeing. Moreover, it’s an apparatus programmed to cooperate, even anticipate and inspire. In other words, I am describing my collection of aluminum racks and containers.
Design ideas file tip #10 / organization system:
CHOREOGRAPH & COORDINATE
Problem: Clutter.
Solution: Introduce a line of accessories for kitchen, den, home office, bathroom, and closet — unify various spaces with consistent, coordinating elements. Design a series of racks linking aesthetics and utility: “Tend-on” Group. Make them stackable to multiply capacity while keeping the same footprint. Last but not least, focus on ease of assembly, avoid hardware.
Added Benefit: As it is freestanding, there is no need to attach anything permanently!
Surely, a dwelling could be thought of as a “machine” if it were designed with efficiency and adaptability at its core, as if its purpose were to make life delightful.
